KRISTA BUSBYCOACH
Krista is one of our coaches for this season and we are so happy to have her! She has over 15 years of lacrosse experience and has coached both the youth and high school levels. In college, she played all four years with the PSU team and was team captain for three of those years. Krista has always enjoyed taking on coaching roles and felt she still had so much to share and contribute to the team which is why she couldn't pass up the opportunity to continue to be apart of our community.
When she's not coaching, you can find her either working or snuggled up with her chihuahua, Rosemary, and reading a good book. Her main goals for the team this season is to be consistent with getting everyone to work on their baseline lacrosse skills. She believes in continuing to foster the close-knit relationship between players, that has formed over the last few months the team has been together, because of how important it is to connect and trust one another during games. |
AMANDA PIRILCOACH
Amanda is new to joining the coaching team for the 2022-2023 season. While she’s helping coach PSU for the first time. She’s no stranger to the team, as she previously played all through college and completed her senior year serving as a captain just last season. She has been playing lacrosse for 10 years, the bulk of which were spent defending the cage and making tons of saves as a goalie.
Outside of lacrosse, Amanda continues her passion for obtaining and sharing knowledge as she works as a middle school teacher. She also enjoys listening to audiobooks, trying out new baking recipes, and spending time with her loved ones. Having spent years in the goal circle, with a front row seat to all the lacrosse action on the field, she hopes to provide the team with a different perspective. She also believes in the importance of creating a supportive team environment and fostering positive player-coach communication. She’s looking forward to another exciting season of lacrosse! |
MAGIC BLAIRCOACH
Magic is another one of our amazing coaches for this season! They also previously played for the PSU team and has been playing lacrosse for 10 years. Their favorite position to play on the field is low attack because they enjoy making sweet connections while feeding from X (behind the goal).
Off the field, Magic enjoys bouldering, skiing, walking around the city, eating lox bagels, and caring for her pets. They have made many friends on the lacrosse team in previous years and wants to being that same friendly energy to this team. Lacrosse has been a rewarding sport for them, especially in terms of community, and looks forward to teach what they have learned over the years to current and future players. They're very excited to have the opportunity to be coaching because they truly love the energy of this team! |
